Reason of the colors
The pink color is made from red clay, mudstones (mud) and arylites (sand).
Blanquecino is composed of quartzitic sandstones and marls rich in calcium carbonate.
The red color is composed of clays (iron) and clays belonging to the Upper Tertiary period.
The green color is associated with phyllite compounds and mafic-rich clays.
Brown earth is a resinous product composed of quaternary rocks containing magnesium.
The mustard yellow color is due to the presence of calcareous sandstones rich in sulfide minerals.
How is the tour
We will take the car one hour to Cusipata and have lunch for one hour and return to Cusco arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.
